Trip to Wyoming

The year continues to be an interesting one.  Things we don't quite understand, but we're trying to roll with it.

On a Tuesday Joel had car troubles with the rental car we were using while our car was in the shop.  This resulted in having to trade out cars.  That same Tuesday his boss called him and said, we are letting people go because the jobsite is almost finished.  Come pick up your check and your tools.  They didn't have the gall to tell him to his face that they had to let him go because of his broken wrist.  They tried to make an excuse until Joel confronted them about it.  People are pansies.  Okay, no big deal.  We'll survive and figure things out.  The weekend job at the Linq called and said they were slow and he wasn't needed for the next week or two.

He called Bobbie Rae and she asked if he could come visit now that he wasn't bogged down with responsibilities.  Emi was nursing.  He wasn't working.  He said he's run it past me.  I had no problem with it.  It would be the first time that Bobbie Rae had met Emi and it had been almost 2 years since she had seen Hailey.  I told Joel that if he wanted to leave, he was going to have to pack the girls, not me.  This meant sorting through the mountain of clothes that we hadn't put away of ours and the girls.  We sorted the clothes and he packed his clothes.  Since everything was already organized, all I had to do was pull the clothes from the closet and put it in the luggage.  He was packed and ready to go as soon as we got our vehicle back.  We pressed and finally got our Acadia back two weeks after first dropping it off, and on Saturday.  We packed the car and Joel and the girls headed up to Wyoming.

They had originally planned to stop in Provo but that didn't work out.  Then they attempted to make it to Rock Springs but they had closed the Evanston pass.  Joel's Smith family had connections and got him a hotel in Evanston, then they continued on to Lovell.  That was a long trip!

They enjoyed their time.  Lots of pictures.

Dogs, puppies, snow-Hailey still can't get her hands cold and covered in snow without a minor freak out.
