April's Adventures

Pre-Easter Weekend.
Last weekend the community garden hosted an easter egg hunt and breakfast.  Joel had been called into work that Saturday morning.  I called and asked Nana if she wanted to come with.  Papa was sick.  We had a good time eating pancakes, seeing the chickens, and hunting for eggs.  Oh, when she figured out what was in the eggs, she said and signed, "More more more!" We've had to ration out those eggs so we didn't end up with a sugar high toddler.

Easter and Conference Weekend

Dawn and brad were in town.  We went to town square mall and ethel M. Chocolates.  Hailey playing in the water splash pad.  It freaked her out a bit.  She still loves the slides.  She's not one to push past other kids.

Ethel M- waiting and hour and a half to get the girl's faces painted, ballon toys-Emi loves trying to eat it. Taking hailey over to see the Easter Bunny-she got within about ten feet and then screamed.

Hailey enjoyed watching conference with Nana and Papa...okay maybe she just enjoyed the popcorn and playing at our feet as we all watched.  She occasionally had to go outside and jump on the trampoline.  She comes in all black but she's tired out and took great naps.

Rodeo.  The rodeo was in Logan Dale.  It happened to be, fill your own container Slurpee day as well.  We filled up one of our 54 oz mugs.  That was nice for the drive.  When we got to the fair we watched the mutton busting.  That has been one of my favorite things to watch since I've gone to the country rodeos.

The hiccup that I didn't realize was this was an outdoor event.  I had brought my pump to pump milk but didn't bring the battery charged pack.  I needed an electrical outlet and we were in the middle of the dust feild.  I was frustrated and anxious because it had been 5-6 hrs and things were getting uncomfortable.  I finally found the emergency station and they let me use a plus.  We got to the rodeo part of the fair late, but better late than never.  It was an experience I hope never to repeat and I learned my lesson.

On a good note, we paid for a babysitter and there was extra if she did a few chores.  It was nice coming home to clean dishes and a picked up living room.  The hard part is still trying to find where she put away some of the kitchen items!  3 weeks later I found the cutting boards!

Hailey and Shoes.  Hailey has learned how to put her own shoes on... and take them off.

Hailey and Strawberries.  It's like a light switch.  One day she will tight lip against a certain food and the next day that's all she wants to eat.   She ate a pound plus of strawberries.  I sent disposable diapers to Shannon's the next day.  I wouldn't want to clean that out!

Emi's moves have gone from catepillar to army crawl.

Hailey is connecting her words together.

Hailey kicked me off the bed in order to lay next to Daddy.

Emi has no interest in baby food, she wants the real stuff.  We've started her out on bread sticks, ribs, rice and curry.

Tyler came to visit.  We met his fiance.

Just so everyone knows that we aren't perfect, Joel and I were having a spat.  I was upset and we didn't know how to break the ice and talk about it.  Well, I figured it out.  He was cleaning out the pool and trimming the palm bushes near the pool, so I pushed him in.  He wasn't a happy man.  Needless to say, I made sure I had all his electronics.  He did go in with his wallet and boots. Poor boy.  After he got out he said, "REALLY!"  I said, "Really."  He said, "Is the fire out now!"  "Yes the fire is out." :)

Hailey loves jumping on the trampoline.  It's the first thing she goes to once she figures out how to get outside at Papa and Nana's house.

Since Joel went in the pool, Hailey has realized that she too can play in the water.  She started with her feet, then her hands, then stepping into the water.  Then one hot afternoon Joel came home and said he was going to go swimming.  I wanted to watch this because I knew the water was still fairly cold at the bottom, maybe not at the top where you dip your toe in though.  He got ankle deep, then calf deep, Oh that's cold!! Then he waded around then went thigh deep.  Hailey let Daddy pick her up and set her down.  It took a little while, they she waded around.  Aparently 70 degree water didn't phase her enough.

We went and had lunch break with Daddy.  We had to wait around since we got there a little early.  It was fun.  Clean and cute girls out to lunch with a Daddy covered in grease and oil and gas.  Mmm Mmm Mmm.

There is a park near out house.  One of many, but this one is our favorite.  It has lots of grass.  Swings and slides of all shapes and sizes.  The best part for Hailey is the matel grippers instead of the chain.  I guess she feels more secure that way.

Emi shots!

Playtime at Bella and Shannon's.  They do playdough and watch movies, paint, and all kinds of other creative things.  Hailey wakes up in the morning and says, "Bella? Play?"  Or in the car, "Where are you Bella?"
