This weekend we are hoping to be moving in to the new place. It's by no means new, but it's new to us. It will definitely needs some fixing ups. But we traded space for quality. The quality we can increase gradually. We don't know how long we'll be here but we want to make it our own.

Emi is officially 1 year old. She had her birthday this past weekend. We didn't do anything super special because, well, she's one. She did get an ice cream cone on Sunday when we had dinner with Aimee Giles and her family. She's big enough that she can hold her own ice cream cone. We didn't have our camera/phones with us but it was quite the site. Needless to say, she enjoyed herself. We already knew she liked ice cream, but last night she didn't have to wait for one of us to get around to giving her another bite. She ate everything, cone and all. Hailey? Hailey could care less about the ice cream, she wanted to go out and play in the backyard. With a horse, a goat, a miniture horse, grass, tricycles, swings and a trampoline, this was kid heaven!
Gotta love moving! Not. The place doesn't have a fridge, so we've had to find that. Since we sold most of our stuff in Boise we've been garage sale hunting for a couch, things to sit on, a table and chairs, etc. We have beds, lots of beds! Our furniture for the next little while will consist of beds, dressers, a garage sale find table and chair, a man chair for Joel and my old red rocker, surrounded by lots of books and bookshelves. We don't have internet, we don't have a tv, we don't have a lot but the girls don't mind.
Speaking of beds, Hailey has been sleeping on the floor lately. We haven't really been able to figure out why. Joel finally made a connection. A couple weeks ago, Ryan came and got his bed, his box springs and the frame so our mattress is on the floor. Well, Hailey watches and mimics us, so she wants to sleep on the floor too! She's a funny little girl. We put the pack and play mattress under Emi's crib but she's determined so after we put her down she crawls out of bed, grabs the mattress and puts it where she can sleep on it. :)
