The girls had a lot of fun at Myrna's playing and watching fireworks before we left. It was a busy day and we put the girls down for a short nap before fireworks. Emi got about 2 hours and was still tired and slept in the cart up to the fireworks. Hailey played in the room until 9 and then got a quick power nap.
Going to Scheels
Emi was too small to ride the ferris wheel so Uncle Ernie took her up and down the escalators until we were done. :)
This is a game that wouldn't work quite right but the girls had fun with the flashing lights and throwing balls at a screen anyway.
Joel took the challenge to beat the highest score of 2840. He got 2890. :)
Then the best part! Playing in the water without their siblings. Hailey learned a little bit about how to hold her breath when she goes under water.
After swimming we got dressed and frosted "Flag Cookies"
It was a busy day and the Hailey didn't want to go to be as usual. I needed them to lay down for at least an hour or two before we woke them back up for Fourth of July Fireworks. I put Emi down at 7 and she didn't have a problem going to sleep. Hailey didn't fall asleep or stop playing until 9. Well... I had to wake them up at 9:30-945 to get ready for the fireworks so we could walk over. Myrna had a garden wagon that I padded with blankets and loaded the girls into. Emi transfered perfectly. She was tired and not ready to wake up. Hailey wanted to be naked, so in only her underwear she climbed into the wagon and laid down until we got to the grassy area where we would watch the fireworks.
Once we got there, Emi stayed asleep. Hailey though needed to go potty... Lovely. There's no place to go potty, so I just told her to go on the grass. Surrounded intermittently by other people, but still with a good distance between, she stripped down and went potty. She had to dance naked first though. This incident happened twice.
Emi only woke up when the fireworks started. We got rained on as well, but the girls were snuggled under their blankets and didn't get wet so they didn't care. It was a fun night. The girls loved watching the fireworks.
Tuesday we packed up our bags and hit the road again. We traveled through Bozeman down into Rexburg. I haven't spent much time in Bozeman but when we moved from Wyoming to Idaho, we stopped and had dinner with some friends at a really good pizza restaurant called Mackenzie River Pizza. I don't remember much of what everyone else ordered but I ordered a Cobb salad. Well to say that it was unforgettable was evident when I went back and got another one while driving through. :) The salad is huge and is enough for two good size meals. See it's bigger than the pizza!
We finally made it to Dana's and visited for a day. We walked around BYUI and it's crazy how much things have changed. Places have been demolished and parking lots have been built. Places that were desert/empty are now high end apartments. It's crazy. We spent most of the time hanging out at the house because 3 kids ages 3 and under is a lot to handle. The girls enjoyed playing with the new toys, pushing their cousin around in her jumper, and painting their nails.
