Spring Mount Ranch Beauty and the Beast

Last night, Friday June 17th, we went to the Spring Mountain Ranch to see Beauty and the Beast.  It is a theatre production that is done outdoors.  We brought the girls little pink chairs and a blanket to sit on.  We brought some snacks and purchased a few others.  The girls were spoiled with pizza, homemade fried fries, and snow cones to top it off.

The meadow opened at 6 and you could pay extra to park earlier.  We got there at 6:15 and the meadow was already 3/4 of the way packed.  The show didn't even start till 8!  We still found a good spot and parked it.

We were a little worried that Emi would get antsy and cause problems because 7:30 is her bed time.  The girls had a great time though.  It was 75 degrees in the shade of the mountains.  They enjoyed playing in the grass and being curious about other people and kids around us.

When the play started Hailey stood up to get a good view over the heads of everywhere.  She would dance and was super excited.  She wanted the music to keep playing after the first show.  Then the beast came out and Hailey hid in daddies shoulder and under the blanket.

It was the Broadway type play which matched pretty close with the movie Hailey loves to watch.  They had puns and innuendos that made things funny for the adults.  Hailey barely made it through the play.  Emi lasted till about 10 then crashed in my arms.  We then transferred her to the blanket on the grass.  Emi and Joel proceeded to get in a nap. It was way past both of their bed times.

At the end, you could take pictures with the actors.  Hailey wanted to see the princesses and took pictures.  I think you could say she had a good time.  We loaded everyone up and the girls were asleep within five minutes.
