Christmas Morning
The girls enjoyed Christmas and the gifts Santa Claus brought. Pictured below, we set up the doll house Jaime, Robyn amd BR got for the girls. We locked the door in the morning so they couldn't play in their per usual. Then we told them to close their eyes as we opened the door. They were super excited for the doll house and play with it almost daily. As for other toys, we originally got a large Minnie Mouse for Emi and a Minnie mouse roller bag for Hailey. They opened the gifts and traded. Apparently Hailey wanted the large Minnie mouse and Emi wanted the roller bag. During black Friday I found a framed canvas of Oh Jerusalem. It is Joel's favorite picture. The deal was just too good to let go. He really loved it and almost cried. :) Joel did well this year and found a couple belts for me, unfortunately they were too small. I've got curves! He also found a simple ring that I can wear since most of the time my fingers are too swollen or different sized so my actual wedding ring doesn't fit. It was a simple Christmas, but we enjoyed it.
Emi had a rough week or so. She became the accident prone child that always seemed to get knocked in the face somehow. First she fell off the kitchen chair and bit through her lip on the way down. Then while jumping on the trampoline at Papa's house she landed face first on a rock that Hailey had thrown on the tramp. She chipped a couple teeth, but we didn't notice it till the next day. Frozen strawberries aren't her friend currently. Then while Kelly, Joel, the girls and I were out at Sushi, she tripped over something and banged into the side wall, biting her lip again.
Lemons from the garden. Lemonade. Zest. Lemon ice cubes. The girls really enjoyed helping me juice them. Hailey face when she took a spoonful of the juice was hilarious. It's not tomato, pomegranate that's for sure!
Papa coming to town to work on his house. The girls enjoyed spending Christmas with him. Kelly came to visit and we all made gingerbread houses.
