February 2021 Visit to Indianapolis

February started in Indianapolis with the girls and Joel visiting Becky and meeting more the of the Head extended family.  They arrived late Friday night, grabbed Taco Bell and crashed.  Indi is 3 hours ahead so that makes for a fun wake up call.  The girls woke up with the sun bright and early at 5:30 vegas time, 8:30 Indi time.  They were excited and knew that Saturday meant a trip to the Indianapolis Children's Museum.  It opened at 10 and they weren't going to miss a minute of it!  I'm pretty sure they spent all day there until they had to leave because of dinner and closing time.

Saturday evening they met up and had dinner with the families and got to know cousin's, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.  it's a whole new very large family!  Becky is 1 of 11, so that's a lot of aunts and uncles!  The girl's enjoyed tinkering with all of the instruments that Christian, Cherie's husband has.

The weekend went well and they had lots of fun.  Sunday night's gathering was a bit dramatic.  The kids were all upstairs playing and some of them decided the treadmill would be a fun things to play with so on it went.  Brystol had never seen a treadmill and unfortunately when some of the kids turned the speed up too fast Brystol's fingers were injured.  No one is really sure how, or at least they aren't saying!  She ended up with the skin stripped off the middle and ring finger on her right hand.

I got the facetime call because Brystol was hysterical after having her fingers bandaged and only wanted Mommy.

Over the course of a few weeks of nightly bandage changes and salves, her fingers are healing well. The only concern will be mobility once the skin has heard bc she refuses to bend them.

Over the course of the month, they have healed quite well.  She has full mobility with them and doesn't seem phased with the new skin.

That being said, Indianas visit was a blast visiting family and the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.  % levels of fun filled attractions to learn and teach and explore.  Since they got in late Sunday night, we figured they might sleep in a little bit Saturday.  NOPE! They were up with the sun, bright and early 8:30 Indt time, 5:30 a.m. Vegas time.  Then it was go, go, go till they dropped.  They realized the next day it was good to sleep.
