Playing! At the park, at home, and with Daddy.
One night after the temple, Joel and I went out for dinner. We knew that we weren't going to have a lot of time to sit down, order, eat and make it back in time for our babysitters go time. So we called ahead at the restaurant and placed our order. When we got there, the table was already set and the pizza and salad was just coming out of the oven. We had timed it perfectly. The waitress was awesome. She was also very good at up-selling. A table behind us had ordered this dessert and instead of just taking the dessert to the table directly, the waitress weaved through all of the customers that she had. Joel say what she was carrying and was done for. He wanted one. It was a whip cream massive ice cream sundae doused in caramel and chocolate. He thoroughly enjoyed it.

Joi Warburton shared some of the pomegranates from her tree. She usually makes jelly with it, but that required a lot of sugar. I wondered if I could juice the seeds with the Victorio Strainer and keep the juice. Yep! I could! The girls enjoyed helping and drinking the juice. We froze it all and now we add it to our smoothies.
With Thanksgiving coming, Joel and I decided to keep it small this year. We didn't have anyone to cook for other than us. While at Costco Hailey was walking down the isle and saw this. She turned and said, "Look it's Grandpa's chocolates. We need to take them home!" She proceeded to pick up a container...
Even though we didn't make a big thanksgiving dinner, I did have to make a pie for Joel to take into work. His boss bet him that a Marie Calendar's Pie would be better than what I could make. Well, we went to the store to buy a pie crust when I thought, how hard can it be to make a pie crust?! So I tried my hand at it. I must say, it turned out pretty dang good. Lynn had an apple pie recipe from Grandma Clarke so I used that as well. Unfortunately, Marie Calendar didn't stand a chance and Joel's boss was witness to it!Thanksgiving lunch was Lamb and feta burgers with tzaziki sauce on a chibatta bun. All home made minus the bun. :) The food pantry had all kinds of things and I thought I had grabbed ground beef. Turned out to be lamb but that's ok! We'll roll with it.
