Cedar's Sheep Parade and Halloween

After visiting with Dana, we headed out the next day back to Grandpas house.  Emi was getting worse and Margaret had gone to the Dr because her cold wasn't getting better.  She had bronchitis and an ear infection.  Those were things we didn't want to share.  We decided to pick up our things from grandpas and continue home.  I would get the sewing machine another time.  We stopped at Dawn and Brad's for the evening since it was getting late.  The next morning, October 31, was apparently the Sheep Parade.  The farmers used to herd their sheep down main street so they do a parade in remembrance of the old times.

The kids were excited to go because they thought maybe the floats from the parade would throw out candy.  It was a little chilly out but the kids all enjoyed being able to run free on Main street because it was blocked off until the parade started.

They had tractors, and horse drawn carriages.  When the sheep came, they usually walk nicely down the street but something spooked them and they went off around into the surrounding buildings.  It was quite the fiasco!  It was a good time.  And the floats did throw candy so the kids were happy about that.  Hailey couldn't collect the candies as fast as the older kids so we put all the candy into a hat and sorted it when we got home.

We made it back from Cedar just in time for the Trunk or Treat at the Garden.  Emi still wasn't feeling the greatest but we decided to still go.  The chili was great and the girls enjoyed getting candy, although they only wanted to eat the candy.  

After the Garden trick or treat we headed over the Blake and Katherine's for a Halloween Party.  It was a fun time with Lila and her family and Katherine and Blake's friends.  The kids enjoyed playing and seeing the horses.  After a second dinner they broke out the karaoke machine.  Hailey loved singing to it even though she didn't know most of the word and was pretty shy.  Hailey's favorite part was the cupcakes.

Eventually it got late enough and she was tired.  Hailey found the dog bed, took her clothes off, and curled up with a blanket.  The little boys didn't know what to do because she was naked except for her underwear!

Halloween on Monday was simple.  We got dressed up again and went over to the neighbor on Tenaya and Alexander.  The whole neighborhood goes all out with candy, decorations, music, festivities, haunted garages and houses.  It was fun to take the girls this year.  They loved the suckers.

 Hailey loved the excitement.  Emi still wasn't quite feeling 100% and she was exhausted.  She spent 90% of the time in the Tula carrier.  When we got home she didn't even bother to take her shoes off.  She just laid down and crashed!
