April: Moving day. New house. Easter and an Egg Hunt. Springs Preserve Butterflies. Highland Games Festival

We had an impression in March that it would soon be time to move.  We found a new place to move to but we needed to find a way out of our current lease.  It was either pay the property managers to find a tenant or find someone ourselves.  We didn't want to pay double rent but knew that if things were supposed to happen, they would.

On a Monday the RS president sent out a text asking if anyone knew of a place to rent within certain perimeters.  I responded that our house was up for lease if someone could take over the lease.  The family was driving in from North Carolina and would arrive Wednesday.  We set up a time for them to come see the house.  By Friday they had been to the leasing office and signed the new lease.  We asked for help that Saturday getting some of our things out.  It was General Conference weekend.  It worked perfectly.

We were blown away by the support we were shown and the number of people and trucks and trailers that came to help.  I had packed a lot of the main big stuff but not everything.  It didn't matter.  They grabbed almost everything.  They took the clothes off the racks, laid them on their car seats and then hung them back up in the new place.    In 4 hours 90% of our house was loaded and unloaded in the new place.  By Tuesday the next day we were completely out with everything cleaned.

It was a whirlwind move.  The brown tile in the new house wasn't my favorite and I missed carpet, so we invested in some new rugs to go in a couple of the rooms.  Then we started unpacking and slowly moving in.  We miss our cludesac that was quiet and we loved our good neighbors, but the move was destined. :)

Sunday we watched conference at our friends house... well, Joel watched about 5 minutes and then was out.  It was a busy weekend.

There is always a pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt at the garden.  Hailey and Emi loves searching for candy filled eggs.

Part of the back yard has a pit of sorts and what we thought at first was soot, we realized was just potting dirt-which Hailey loves to play in and turn herself black.

We went to the Springs Preserve with Samantha and Eli.  There was reading time, dance time, face painting and then after all that we went and saw the butterflies.

Getting the back yard set up for play time.

Experimenting with new foods.  Ribs.  They were a hit.

Old Fashioned root beer.

At the Highland games, Joel found someone selling traditional scones. He was happy during his flashback.
