June: Fresh Apricots. Landscaping the yard. Summer fun with friends. First Ultrasound and picking a Midwife. Family Pictures.

With summer time comes fresh fruit falling off of trees.  Joi Warburton let me know that she had apricots up for grabs.  I went over with Samantha and the kids and we picked apricots to make jam or fruit leather or just eat.  The kids loved the fresh fruit.  Samantha had never had fresh apricots, only the kind from the store-which she didn't like.  So when she and Eli tried a fresh apricot she about died and proceeded to eat more and more. We took them back home and made apricot puree so we could sun dry the fruit leather.  The kids loved eating the apricots but especially the puree straight from the strainer.

We have also been working on landscaping the front area.  It was full of rocks and weeds.  Ryan let us borrow his dump trailer and bobcat.  We removed the rest of the rocks in preparation for mulch to go down.  It should make the area look nicer and cool down the front area.  Hailey and Emi both enjoyed riding in the bobcat with Joel as he worked.  Hailey really enjoyed that she got to wear her "new" gardening gloves that Bobbie Rae gave her.

The start of the summer has been a good one.  We've enjoyed making fun food, hanging out with friends, going to the pool, parks, $1 movies and many other adventures.  We even made it to a few of Daddy's softball games.  He joined the union league to have some adult interaction and get back into a fun sport.  We celebrated birthdays and just had fun days with Journey and friends.  It has been a good month.

We decided that we wanted to take family pictures and maternity pictures before I got too big.  Plus that way we would have pictures for the announcement whether it turned out to be a girl or a boy.
