January: The annual trip to Wyoming. Visiting Grandparents in Utah.

A couple weeks ago, Joel got a call from his family.  Bobbie Rae isn't doing the greatest and it really hit hard for him.  Unbeknown to me they had discussed flying up there but Joel didn't think we had the finances for it.  He was right, we didn't, but we had vouchers from Allegiant that allowed us to book flights fairly inexpensively.  When he called to tell Bobbie Rae, she said, "Don't you come up here without at least one of those girls!"  So it was decided that Hailey would probably have the greater chance of remembering BR.

They left this afternoon after Joel got off work.  This would be the second time that Hailey and Emi have been apart, but the first time Emi was only 2 weeks old.  I knew that Emi was going to have a hard time with the parting.

She bawled when we got out of the car.  She was hysterical with the idea of Hailey and Daddy leaving and her not going with them.  She wore herself out and slept all the way home.  Once we got home it's almost like it never happened.  She had a good time without Hailey to steal her toys or share everything with.

While Joel and Hailey were gone, I started making a poofy quilt. :)

Hailey and Dadddy's adventures in Wyoming.  Eating at fun restaurants.  Playing in the snow. Getting her hair done.  Visiting Grandma Bobbie. Daddy and Hailey getting new boots.

Grandma Robyn and Jaime sent Hailey and Daddy home with fun presents.  Look new shoes!

You could say the girls enjoy the poofy blanket.

Joel had to work so we drove up to visit Grandpa and Gma Margaret.

Hailey had played in the snow up in Wyoming so she knew what this was all about... Emi wasn't as excited.  Once she had a pair of gloves covering her hands, she was much better and more enthusiastic.

When mommy was little, she used to slide down the banister like this too!

Lucy and Dana came down to Aurora for the day to visit.

Part of visit grandpa is of course ice cream.  Lucy and Emi had fun waiting for theirs.

It was a long weekend.
